Albert Rubio is an actor, director, and teaching artist, currently residing in San Francisco, CA. Originally from San Antonio, TX, Albert grew up in a very Hispanic household surrounded by amazing food, family, and tradition.
As an artist, Albert is dedicated to creating content that truly holds a mirror up to the human experience. He is passionate about telling the stories of people who go unnoticed, and he does this through collaboration, research, and by "[taking] chances, [making] mistakes, and [getting] messy!" to borrow some words from Mrs. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus.
Albert has taught Shakespeare, Acting, Voice, and Dialects at A.C.T.'s renowned Young Conservatory, and has designed and taught in week long summer intensives for Ronald Reagan High School's (San Antonio, TX) summer acting camp.
Regionally, Albert has performed at A.C.T., Summer Rep Theatre Festival (SRT), and he was an Acting Apprentice for The Great River Shakespeare Festival (GRSF). Albert is a proud member of The Actors' Equity Association, and he recieved his MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), in San Francisco, CA, and he has his BFA in Theatre: Performance from The University of Evansville, in Evansville, IN.
